Seedlings Project
This project is designed to review and refine the targeted areas of teaching practice (pedagogy) within West Park.
The project will focus on Year 1 and Year 2 teaching practices. A specialist expert will work with teaching staff in these year groups to review literacy and numeracy teaching practices, and will provide modelling, coaching, and mentoring to refine approaches based on best current pedagogy evidence.
The project will operate from 2021 to 2024.
Sand lab/Outdoor classroom project
This project initiated by the Home and School Committee (a subcommittee of the Board) will see the development of a small outdoor area of the school refreshed to include a small building containing a place for children to explore and play with sand, and a small outdoor area with nature area. This will create an additional outdoor space for our students to use for outdoor learning and play.
The project commenced in 2021 and is expected to be completed in the same year.
